Purpose and goals

Øresund University Network aims to make the Øresund Region an attractive region for education and research, where students and university employees can utilize the regional possibilities for studies and educational collaboration. Øresund University Network work to enhance the visibility and take advantage of the complementarity of skills, structures and experiences between the Swedish and Danish universities in the Øresund region, and thereby:

• Increase the efficiency and quality in education, research education, and research.
• Reduce barriers and increase the possibilities for mobility between the universities and thereby make an exemplary cross-border region in a European context.
• Creating greater opportunities for the region's students to establish themselves in the Swedish and Danish labor market.
• Collaborate with the surrounding society to jointly provide the region with a highly educated workforce that meets the regional demands for competences.
• Make the overall university environment in the region more attractive to study and do research in.
