Øresund Humanities

Where research, education and business meet

The goal of Øresund Humanities is to make the knowledge and disciplines of the humanities visible and useful in the Øresund Region.

The Øresund Science Region’s platform for humanities was established in 2002, and the partakers are the deans and representatives of the faculties of humanities at The University of Lund, The University of Copenhagen, The University of Roskilde, The University of Malmø and Copenhagen Business School.

The faculties of the five Øresund universities offer more than 100 BA and MA programmes in the humanities, and they have approximately 30.000 students

Knowledge Transfer

We collaborate with private and public companies and institutions, and our aim is to stimulate projects and establish networks between related university milieus in the Øresund Region.

We facilitate knowledge transfer and contacts in the region:

  • We encourage networks, provide meeting places for private and public companies and institutions and arrange seminars and conferences for researchers and students.
  • We offer courses and teaching programs in humanities-related subjects as well as international master programs.
  • We stimulate collaboration between educational programs and research projects in the region and initiate development projects.
  • We assist dialogue between private and public companies and institutions on the skills and qualifications required by graduates in the humanities.
  • We try to attract international students and researches to humanities in the Øresund region.
